You Can Definitely Spot a Liar

Maybe you have good instincts. Or maybe you just have a lot of experience with liars.
Either way, it's pretty hard for someone to pull a fast one on you. You're like a human lie detector.

    Strange weekend!!!!

Had a weird few days, Cara went away with her father and  his 'friend' (as Cara describes IT) Even though he broke just about all of his promises to me Cara had a good time. Didn't know quite what to feel, so was worried, lost and didn't quite know what to do with myself, not used to the quiet. She's now fast alseep in her OWN bed, while she was away I managed to get her room decorated, and make her curtains, hence no housework!!!!! My room next!.
S7300264S7300265Not a very good view of the curtains, a bit dark so will have to take another one soon.
Planned on painting the room lilac, well the paint looked lilac in the tin, but ended up blue. Went a bit mad on the paintwork and the radiator, it's all pretty old an tatty so went an bought some pink gloss. Looks way better than the white. You can just about make out the radiator behind the laundry bin. Also did the window sill, they were manky painted tiles so had to go!!!!!!
Right off to get a bit of stitching done before I go to bed, started a small Snow White picture, have promised to do the Disney Princesses, rather them than WTP, never been a great fan of him but Cara liked him for a while, guess he's going to still be a WIP for a whileWink And no Linda I haven't forgotten about your models, got some lovely perles and marlitt calling your name Tongue out

Here's the biscornu I received from miconnette (EMS - diy biscornu exchange) will have to get around to emailing a pic for the board gallery!! Beautiful isn't it Smile

    Here we go again

Yet another week to make me feel old!!!! Cara will be 5 on wednesday. Haven't got a clue what to get her. She wants a swing but that's a bit pointless at the moment with the weather like it is!!! UmbrellaDon't want to get her anymore crayons and paper as it's EVERYWHERE now!!! Oh well will have to have a good thinkThinking

As for my last entry, that was what Ross read without thinking on the top of his new alarm clock 3ZOONS not SNOOZE , dippy kid Sarcastic

Sent all my exchanges, so that's another thing out of the way, finished 5 middles of the next lot of models for LINDA , so if you haven't already seen her designs check them out HERE and join the Yahoo group use the link at the bottom of her page or at the top left of my home page.

    Feeling old!!!

Apart from the sudden liking for the smell of lavender, grey hairs and aching feet, Ross has now reached the ripe old age of 17

Why is it that the older they get the more expensive the presents? Money£50 for a provisional driving licence and of course driving lessons to go with it, a block of 10 lessons £160 Auto. Not to mention little extras picked up in Tesco yesterdayEye-rolling!!!

Cara just doesn't want to go to sleep lately, can't get her to bed much before 10.30.Sleeping half-moon, then sleeps until between 10 and 11 the mext morningSun I only wish she would go earlier so I could get some peace, as soon as she gets up she's drawing or writing something. I must have thrown out a blackbag of papers this week, at least I can see the carpet now!!!

Getting plenty of stitching done tho. Finished stitching my angel, just got to put it together, and my biscornu for the EMS exchanges, a few HAPPYHOURS designs (Purple Haze, below)and a few other odds and ends.

Unfortulately Ross went out 1st round in the singles, good scoring but had difficulty on his doubles. The other boys also met the same fate 1st round!!  They lost in the quarter finals for the team game  and again 1st round in the doubles, the girls doing better only to lose in the semi finals.

    Gone!!!!

Well, Ross has finally gone. He left with his father at 2.15 this afternoon.
He has been given his Welsh team shirts, I don't have a picture yet so as soon as I do I will add it.
I know he's nervous, but has been trying not to show it, bless him. As long as he does his best and has a good time, that's all that matters.

    GROUNDED!!!!

    Right, where do I start?

Ross had a mobile phone for his birthdayOn the phone, back in August. Took it out with Vodafone as the line rental was only £13.50 a month for the first 6 months 200 minutes and 500 texts. Only one problem, you have to wait for the first bill to come to check your balance online and you have to wait 1 month before you can check on the phone, stupid or what? Well needless to say he went a bit mad when he first had it so was told to ease off!!! Did he? Did he heckAngryHis FIRST bill came on Thursday and was slightly more than we thought it would be, £300 more in fact. £310.39. Needless to say he is now grounded. Not allowed out, not allowed to watch television in his bedroom, no phone and no computer. He's stuck watching whatever Cara has on Rolling on the floor It's killing him, but he has to learn. I also think he should pay the majority of it too when he starts getting his allowance for 6th form, so that's not going to go down well with him eitherLaughing TOUGH!!!!!

Thank you to Sharon for getting my threads tooNot worthy I now have almost a full set plus all the ones I already had. Seems a pity to have to use them nowSmug I also had 2 lovely dragonfly charms and a variegated thread red, white and blue Flag

Apart from the mobile incident I've had a pretty good week. I've had a needleroll from Linda, her own design, WOW so detailed and beautiful, such a clever lady Blushing. I've had a lovely sachet from Beaj, and a lovely cushion for the Do it on Black exchange from Laura (mumof3) will put the photo's on when I get the chance. Also my Mirabilia kit came, so it has felt like Christmas with all the envelopes to openBanana

On Thursday I went with Deb from Genesis(I hate going out unless I have too, so she's helping me to find things to do so I can build up a bit of confidence and be able eventually to find a job and get back into work) to enroll in a Patchwork and Quilting course. It starts on September 27th and lasts for about 16 weeks. I'm a bit nervous but looking forward to it.

Right back to my stitching now, got to get my bookmark for flossmoms finished for Dont tell anyone Hahaha not telling Devil

    Bye for now

    August 29

    A little chat!!!!

Thank you Linda, had a great time chatting on the messenger. God help us if we get together there'll be no stopping usDon't tell anyone
Where the time went I don't know, it must have been easily 3 hours Surprised
I had the best laugh I've had in ages, I'ts nice to find someone with the same sense of humourTongue out

Ross had a friendly match last night Glamorgan Youth v Beddau Superleague, unfortunately they lost but only just 7 - 5. He had a fab average of 26(something, can't remember whatEmbarrassed) 1 180 and Man of the Match and nearly hit 148 outDisappointed better luck next time.

    fed up!

I'm probably going to regret this in the morning, being totally drunk, but I don't care. I don't normally drink but it's Caras birthday, and am going to celebrate that and the fact that i'm once and for all ditching the EX!!! If he can put the THING he's with first instead of spending the whole day with his daughter, then he's not worth anything. I do everything for him yet he takes her away rather than spend the day with Cara and Ross.
Normally I wouldn't write like this as it's not me at all, but the hate I feel for HER is unbelieveable. I have put up with so much that all I want to do is knock her into the middle of next week. I and not a violent person and hate feeling like this. She has brought out a side in him that myself nor his family thought was there. I have wonderful support from his sister and without her I don't know what I would do, she is my best friend.
I have had months of him telling me that he loves me and that he would put things right, stupid as I am I believed him. Dull or what? Genuinely thought this time he meant it.
I have to find the strength from somewhere to pull myself together for my kids sake. Need a good kick into touch, I think.
O well here's hoping that the weather is lousy for him and that he's as unhappy with her as he says he is, hope she does his head right in!!
I know she's only with him for any money she can get, so know deep down that he's going to get taken for a ride, even though he can't see it.Seems to me that the only thing that they have in common is drink. I very very rarely drink and cannot tolerate being around anyone else who does. He has a big drink problem and has resulted in me being afraid of being around anyone who has been drinking, harmless or otherwise. I don't got out to any pubs or clubs, so am stuck in with the kids. Love them lots but its not the same.
Right have to go Ross has just come in and don't want to upset him, he doesn't like it when I'm like this, he loves his father but hates what he is doing.
Excuse any spelling mistakes can't really see straightSad

    MEN!!!!!!

Why do men (not all, there are some good ones out there!) think women are stupid. Since he became my EX he has turned into a total liar(well 70 percent of the time anyway!). Only with one big problem, I always somehow or other manage to find out the truth and catch him out!!!  Makes me feel so angry, then of course comes the argument because I am angry and everything then turns around to being MY fault!!!

Linda, I think we are a right pair at the moment and should stay clear of them for our own sanity, which I am very close to losing right now with my 16 yearolds attitudeBaring teethSad

If I can ever get Cara to go to sleep I can get her stuff wrapped for her birthday tomorrow. 4 already and her first year finished in school, where does the time go???? I'm just glad she will settle for toys and crayons and not the expensive stuff like Ross, mobile phones and PS2 games. His dart accessories aren't that expensive but it soon mounts up when he wants them all the time.

He has just joined the Bridgend Premier League and has played the last 2 weekends and thoroughly enjoyed himself.
He also playes for Beddau Rugby Club on a friday night and came home with a trophy for the 3's(3 players per side) when they came runners up. Also received his trophy for the team winning the league last season which was a nice surprise as he didnt know he was going to get oneSmile

Right enough of my moaning, let's see if i can get the little witch (never know with her whether to spell with a w or a b!Wink)to bed
